I took a break from monthly postings on my little blog here. Good to be back.
This image was captured a few summers ago on Goose Lake, which is actually a reservoir, from the shore of my favorite car camping sanctuary just outside of McCall. Goose Lake is a perfect public access point to the wonderful Grass Mountains sub-range of the Salmon River Mountains, in the Payette National Forest. All kinds of peak bagging, single track trail for hiking, dirt-biking, horseback riding, and mountain biking, fishing, birding, hunting, mushroom and berry picking abound. It will be under 10 feet of snow up there soon, and I’ll look forward to getting back out there for some snowbiking, or backcountry skiing this winter!
