I had the chance to hop on a plane for some beer related work in Washington D.C. in December, to take part in the events associated with the yearly U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree , which was harvested from the Payette National Forest, and the Little Ski Hill, in my home of McCall, Idaho. We made a Spruce Tip Pale Ale from the boughs of the actual tree, first time in the history of the “People’s Tree” that this had been done, and donated some of the beer for the festivities in D.C. It was a pleasure to represent at some of the events.
While there I took a tour of the Library of Congress, and I am glad I did. What an incredible building, housing a collection of knowledge of an immense scale. The architecture, and decor is truly awe inspiring. Below are my favorite images I captured.
